Susie White wants no picket fences, no alpha, and no cubs. White wolf woman she may be, but no pack for her, no sireee. Alpha me not, that’s her motto. In all caps.

Mercenary and half-breed wolf Joe Huroq’s not looking for a mate. Stop and go screwing, that’s his motto. Hot and heavy between missions. Then he glimpses his new neighbor tanning nude and the situation explodes.

Literally. Susie’s house is consumed by fire. What’s Joe to do but offer Susie his hospitality?

Susie can’t resist the temptation of big, bad, mercenary, so she suggests a friends with benefits arrangement which he accepts with an amazing alacrity. The sex is frantic, hot, and frequent. Neither one can keep their hands off the other.

Then children go missing. The fire’s deemed arson. Bodies pile up. Susie refuses to accept Joe’s mate claim. Can he keep her safe when she won’t obey a single order?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt –Adult:
They traveled in silence for the next seven miles. “Where do you want to be dropped off?”
“Anywhere’s fine.”
“Susie, give me a drop-off point or we’ll be circling the campus for hours.” Joe tried to keep the testiness out of his voice.
“Registrar’s office, please.”
He pulled into the porte cochere entrance, reached over, and opened the door.
“Um…” She twiddled with the tassel on her purse. “I, um. There’s no subtle way of saying this. Do I ask for a key for the next couple of days? I want to pay for my share of groceries and some form of rent. I don’t want to be underfoot. Maybe it would be best if I moved into one of those extended-stay hotels until I find a place I can—”
“Here.” He pulled a key from his pocket. “Let’s not make this more complicated than it has to be. Stay at my place as long as you need to. We’ll put last night into an abyss if you want. I’ll keep my hands off you, but if you make another move, all bets are off. No rent, no groceries, not for a lousy two days.”
She licked her lips and met his stare. “I wouldn’t be averse to a friends-with-benefits arrangement. You did tell me exactly how you operate yesterday, and that works for me. But I’d prefer if we waited until I had my own space before we, um, incorporate the benefits side of the arrangement. I don’t like feeling beholden.”
He didn’t like the way she viewed their relationship, but had no intention of refusing a gift horse or, in this case, annoyingly independent warrior woman. “I can accommodate those terms. Friends with benefits—after you move out. Agreed?”
“Agreed.” A wash of color cascaded across her face. “You’ve been so great to me, Joe. Thanks…thanks for everything.”
He filled in all the crap she didn’t voice. Thanks for being my hook-up buddy, my cock-in-the-hole, my dumb-prick stud. “Glad to be of service.”
She couldn’t quite suppress the slight wince his words engineered, and that gave him a great measure of satisfaction. “Bye then.”
Joe drove to the parking lot when she disappeared into the building, then made his way to the admissions office.
Poor Susie had no clue. She had given him his ace in the hole.

Review: Six Sexy Nights by Serenity Woods

Six nights to remember, six days to forgive…

Esther is grateful for the strong arms that saved her and her young son from an earthquake. But she wishes their rescuer was someone else. Anyone other than the man who left her pregnant after a holiday fling.

Toby’s carpentry skills take him wherever there’s work, and right now that work is definitely cut out for him. He has to get over the shock that the little boy in his arms is his own son—and convince Esther that he’s always regretted walking away from her.

Esther can’t bring herself to deny Toby his right to get to know Charlie. Besides, with her own home flattened, she has nowhere to go but with him to his apartment…where she discovers a sexy role-playing card game tucked in his suitcase.

When Toby invites her to accompany him to the Northland to attend his best friend’s wedding, the opportunity to explore their still-simmering attraction is too tempting to resist. As the steamy scenarios heat up, they start to realize this is more than a game. But Esther’s hiding a secret that could cause as much devastation as the earthquake...

Product Warnings
Contains role-playing fun including Roman slave and master, sexy schoolgirl spanking, and interrogation of a spy. Silk scarves included.

Excerpt:

He pulled her hard against him and crushed his mouth to hers. The full force of his passion washed over her, and she gasped. He took the opportunity of her open mouth to deepen the kiss, and she sighed as his tongue stroked hers, warm and inviting. He slid his hands up her ribcage over the tight dress, brushing her breasts, and then pulled back.
“I’m sure you look delightful in this pretty bra,” he murmured. “But I’d rather feel the real you. Can you do that miraculous trick girls do and take it off under your dress?”
“Are you sure?” Nerves filtered through her again. “It kind of props up everything that’s beginning to head south.” He just raised an eyebrow, however, and she cursed beneath her breath, trying to remind herself that she was supposed to be a slinky call girl. Slinky call girls didn’t talk about baby tummies and sagging breasts. “Sorry.”
First she took out the check he’d given her from her bra and popped it into the purse she’d left on the table. “Don’t want to lose that.” She reached behind and unclipped the bra, drew the straps down her arms beneath the sleeves of the dress, then pulled the garment out and tossed it onto the table. She glanced down. The dress was really more of a long, tight tube with small sleeves, and it clung to every part of her body, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. Her nipples stood out like buttons through the fabric, and her breasts looked huge.
“Wow.” Toby’s eyes gleamed. “You have an absolutely fantastic figure.”
Warmth spread through her at his admiration. “Thank you.”
“You’ve lost some weight.”
“Breastfeeding did that.” The words were out before she could stop them, and she bit her lip. Could she think of any more ways to turn him off?
But he didn’t look turned off. He ran his hands up her body to cup her breasts. “You’re so soft.”
“You’re not,” she said breathlessly as he pulled her to him, his erection obvious even through the jeans.
“Is that any surprise while you’re in my arms, so sensual and womanly?” He moved his large, warm hands over her, making her quiver as he ran his fingers up her back, then brought them around to cup her breasts again. He brushed his thumbs over her nipples, murmuring his approval as her eyes fluttered shut. “You smell fantastic,” he said. He nuzzled her neck and ear, and she shivered.
She kissed him again, holding his face with both hands as she delved her tongue hungrily into his mouth. He tasted divine. It had been so long since she’d kissed anyone—since she’d kissed him, in fact. How had she lived without this for so long?
He was coaxing her body awake, stirring long-forgotten sensations, and an ache grew between her thighs. Her nipples tightened in response to his touch, and she arched her back to push them into his gentle hands. He groaned.
Her fingers itched to touch his skin, so she began to undo the buttons of his shirt, gradually revealing his wide, bronzed chest, shaped with firm muscles. He went to slip the shirt off, but she shook her head. “No,” she whispered, “keep your fuck-me shirt on.”
His eyes widened with amusement. “My what?”
“You heard me. That shirt wants only one thing. You look so damn sexy dressed like that.”
He grinned. “Fine.” He held the bottom of her dress. “But I want you naked.”
Instinctively, she grasped his wrists, stopping him. A skintight dress was one thing. Being completely naked and not in utter darkness was another.
He wrested his hands free, and gently but firmly moved hers away. “My check is now in your purse,” he reminded her. “I seem to remember offering you an amount that would cover pretty much whatever I wanted.” He let go of her hands and held the hem of the dress again. “Arms up.” His voice was firm.
Her cheeks grew warm at the desire in his eyes. Closing her own, she lifted her arms.
He peeled the dress up her body and over her head. The fabric whispered to the floor. Fighting the urge to cover herself, she stood for a moment biting her lip. Even though her eyes were shut, she was sure she could feel his gaze burning through her.
Then his hand cupped her cheek, and she opened her eyes to see him smiling. “Hey, beautiful,” he said.
She looked down at herself, finding it difficult to see anything but the stretch marks and the way her muscles had loosened since childbirth. “You want your money back?”
In reply, he kissed her.

Review:

I must admit when I started this book I was petrified it wouldn't live up to the first book in the series Seven Sexy Sins. I am so glad I was wrong, Serenity Woods totally knocked it out of the park yet again.

This books is the perfect combination of super hot sexing and wonderful story. I especially love the addition of Charlie in this book makes Toby a totally hot DILF. I don't for one second blame Esther for falling under Toby's spell I would have too.

Overall I give this 5 out of 5 Excellent read that I had trouble putting down. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Review: Cooper's Redemption by D'Ann Lindun

Elizabeth Adams is a Los Angles native who has always dreamed of living in the Rocky Mountains. She loves western movies and riding horses, and dreams of being a heroine in a western film. She gets her chance for real life adventure when her mother disappears from Salt Lick, Colorado, after going there to sell a ranch she inherited.
J.B. Cooper (just Cooper) is under suspicion for killing his neighbor, Henry Harper, over a water dispute. There is no evidence to convict him, but the shadow of doubt hovers around him. He just wants to be left in peace.
Circumstances throw Elizabeth and Cooper together when he tracks rustled cattle to her ranch … and discovers a body in the barn. Once again, he is the suspect in a suspicious death. Elizabeth is convinced Cooper had nothing to do with the murder of her cousin because to her, he’s a true western hero. Together, they search for her mother, clear Cooper’s name and fall in love along the way.

Review:
As always with D'Ann's books I had a hard time putting this down.

I love the murder mystery in this book it totally had me guessing to the very end. I'd think I had it all figured out and then something happened and I'd have to rethink things again. But I was totally satisfied by how everything played out.

I loved the interactions between Elizabeth and Cooper. I loved that she was stubborn and not willing to put up with his crap. I totally got Elizabeth’s transition from meeting him to loving him. Cooper’s not as much but I still found him totally swoon worthy.

Overall I give this a 4 out 5 I really enjoyed it.

Bio:
Falling in love with romance novels the summer before sixth grade, D’Ann Lindun never thought about writing one until many years later when she took a how-to class at her local college. She was hooked! She began writing and never looked back. Romance appeals to her because there's just something so satisfying about writing a book guaranteed to have a happy ending. D’Ann’s particular favorites usually feature cowboys and the women who love them. This is probably because she draws inspiration from the area where she lives, Western Colorado, her husband of twenty-nine years and their daughter. Composites of their small farm, herd of horses, five Australian shepherds, a Queensland heeler, nine ducks and cats of every shape and color often show up in her stories!

Review: For the Love of Jazz by Elke Feuer

For the Love of Jazz
by Elke Feuer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Restoration architect Josie Fagan takes on a project with lawyer and senator’s son, Patrick Pullman. It’s the perfect match. She needs his endorsement to save her business and he wants to restore his ancestral Chicago home. Love wasn’t part of her plan. Neither was being asked to stay at his home, haunted by ghosts, or discovering she has a claim to his home – which she adores. When she finds out his family may be responsible for her aunt’s disappearance fifty years ago, it’s a race to unearth the truth before she loses not only her business and her heart, but her life.
Patrick can’t deny his attraction to Josie and is willing to take a chance on love since his broken engagement a year earlier. Things become complicated when he learns of their family connection and her claim to the home he loves. He doesn’t believe in ghosts, or that his family is involved in her aunt’s disappearance, so insists they work together. But, when he starts seeing his uncle’s ghost, and threats are made on her life, he’s forced to confront the possibility his family could be responsible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt:

Had she really seen a … ghost? She looked at her wine glass. No, she’d only had one glass, but since when did drinking produce ghosts? Never! Blood pulsed wildly against her temple in fear at what she’d seen — hadn’t seen. The clock on the other side of the room struck one o’clock, startling her. Had an hour really passed?

“Time is the least of your problems, Josie.” Pushing the recliner back to its upright position she looked around frantically to make sure it was really gone. The dimly lit room suddenly closed in on her, casting dark shadows in corners that weren’t there earlier. She shot out of the chair and headed to the light switches and turned them all on. Light filled the room with the exception of the odd missing bulb, and revealed there was nothing there but dust bunnies. She breathed a deep sigh of relief.

Now what? She could knock on Patrick’s door and tell him what she had seen, but what good would that do? The last thing she wanted was her new client to think he’d hired a crazy person. Besides, what would she say? Hey, I just saw a ghost can I sleep in your room? Yeah, that would go over well.

She blew out the candle and picked up the glass of wine from the table, liquid courage to sleep. She made sure the lights in the stairwell were turned on before the ones in the living room were turned off.

She closed her room door and pulled the chain across the newly installed deadbolt lock. Reason told her the lock couldn’t keep the ghost from coming into her room, but it gave her some comfort anyway. What the heck had she gotten herself into?

Review:
I must admit I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into when I started this book but the more I read the hard I found it to stop. Not a huge lover of ghost stories the way the author weaves them into this romance works wonderfully.

The mystery of Lola kept me guessing till the very end but the way it played out was very satisfactory.

I love the romance between Patrick and Josie and how it mimicked the one of Lola and William.

The one disappointment for me was the editing in this book I found myself consistently having to reread sentences because words were either not quite right or missing altogether and it made it hard to get a good flow when reading.

Overall I give this 3.75 out of 5 Great paranormal read for those who like something a little out of the ordinary.

The Rites of Spring Blog Hop #RitesofSpring

With it spring in half the globe and autumn in the other half and regardless of whether your weather is turning hot or cold it is a time for renewal. And what better time than to blog about firsts. The book and characters I want to share with you today are a first for myself because they are in my first book with Decadent Publishing. But they also experience many first themselves. For Sally her 1Night Stand is the first time she has even been treated right by a member of the opposite sex and for Dean it is the first time he has truly gone after the type of woman he is attracted to. Both of them enter into their 1Night Stand expecting it is their last chance but instead they find it is only really the beginning. Read the excerpt below of their first meeting.

Sally Austens’ sexual experience is limited and unsatisfactory at best. Now, as she turns thirty, it looks like the relationship train has missed her stop. When a friend tells her about 1Night Stand and suggests it might just change her life, she’s skeptical but shoots for the stars when asking for her perfect date. Go big or go home, right?

Dean Martorino lives in the public eye. Surrounded on a daily basis by society’s idea of stunning beauty, he longs for a woman with curves he can get lost in. At the suggestion of his long-time friend and manager, Dean shares his secret with Madame Eve hoping she can find him a match to fill his arms and satisfy his desires.

Can Sally accept the beauty Dean sees in her long enough to curve his appetite or will they both go home hungry?

Excerpt:
For the umpteenth time, Dean checked his phone. Still no text. He sighed in frustration. Thirty minutes after they’d agreed to meet, and no sign of his date.
His misgivings about the 1Night Stand concept weren’t eased by the fact she hadn’t arrived yet. He longed for something different, but one-night stands were not his usual idea of fun. He preferred long-term relationships. Jerry, his best friend had assured him Madame Eve’s services were more love matches than sex.
He’d laughed, at first, finding the whole idea ridiculous. He doubted even the mystical Madame Eve could find his perfect woman. Jerry had laughed, too, but then he got serious and asked, “What do you have to lose?”
Dean’s regular fitness regime kept him in shape and looking good for thirty-five. The women he met were stick-thin, self-obsessed, and semi-plastic, typical of the industry he worked in. Most of them were pretty, and though he’d dated a few, they weren’t what he fantasized about. No, in his dreams, the ladies all had natural and much curvier figures.
Big, curvy women had always fascinated him. Because he lived his life in the public eye, he’d been reluctant to go after what he wanted. At his age, though, with his career on the downhill slide, he realized he didn’t care anymore. He’d had his time in the spotlight. He wanted to settle down and have a family. Hence, he’d decided to find someone who loved him, not his public persona. He’d spent too long denying his true identity.
A knock made his heart skip a beat. She’s here. After a quick check in the mirror, he steeled himself and opened the door.
His mouth went dry and all coherent thought fled. Even if he had the words to express how she blew him away, he didn’t think he could find his voice. He ogled the gorgeous, buxom brunette standing in the doorway. His admiration cut short, as her face paled.
“You’re—” She stopped talking mid-sentence, her eyes rolled back into her skull.
Reacting on instinct, he reached out and wrapped his hands around her waist, trying to catch her before she hit the ground. However, instead of stopping her from falling, he was pulled to the carpet, too, both of them crashing in a heap.
Women fainted around him all the time. It no longer freaked him out. It was, however, the first time he’d fallen to the floor with one. Her pulse thumped strongly under his fingers. Relief washed over him; she was okay. The ridiculousness of it all hit him and a deep belly laugh escaped his lips.
Even with the less than successful start to his date, the feel of her in his arms had parts of him standing to attention. His curiosity dictated he find out more. Madame Eve had made an excellent choice. She might have found the perfect woman after all.

New Release Don't Ask, Don't Tell !!!!!

I'm so happy to introduce my newest release and my first M/M story, Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

Sergeant Jason Holt and his boyfriend Sergeant Patrick Wentworth have been in a secret relationship for almost ten years. When the daily paper brings news of the repeal of the military’s ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy, they think their prayers have finally been answered. Yet things aren’t always as easy as they seem, with not everybody at work supportive of their lifestyle and even their parents skeptical. Will they finally be able to be out and proud?

Excerpt (adult):
My mind filled with images of when Patrick came into my life.
We met our first day at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. I was a Texan boy following in the footsteps of a long line of military men, Patrick a local New Yorker escaping a troubled life. Drawn to each other right away, it didn’t take long for us to become the best of friends. Only after we graduated from West Point did we both recognize our feelings were more than platonic.
Together, we shipped out to the 504th BFSB at Fort Hood. We bunked together for the first year, and everything was great, until one night about three months after we arrived, things changed.
I jumped in the shower while Patrick went to get takeout for dinner. When I finished getting clean, I headed out of the bathroom to get dressed. Not expecting anybody to be about but me, I didn’t bother wrapping a towel around my waist. A gasp and the thud of paper bags meeting the floor made me realize my roommate had returned.
I looked up, not expecting to see the expression of pure lust on Patrick’s face. I went from flaccid to erect in all of a second, my body’s reaction unmistakable. In two large strides, Patrick closed the gap between us, his lips colliding with mine in a passion-filled kiss. When my brain caught up with my body, I threw my arms around him, pulling him against me in a tight embrace, all the while our lips and tongues danced.
Years of pent up sexual tension seemed to explode from both of us. Our hands caressed everywhere, unable to get enough.
Feeling fabric under my fingertips instead of skin I pulled away from the kiss and set about trying to get him naked as fast as possible. I unbuckled his belt, and then unbuttoned his fly. As I pulled his jeans open, my heart skipped a beat as his dick sprang out at me. I cocked my eyebrow at him, questioning his choice of commando. He just shrugged. Since he’d given me such easy access, I wasted no time taking full advantage. I pulled his pants down until they were around his ankles, placing my mouth around the head of his cock before he even got a chance to step out of them.
 “Holy fuck!” Patrick moaned. “Jesus, Jason ... so ... fucking ... good.” He placed his hand on the back of my head, guiding my movements.
I’d been on the receiving end of having my dick sucked many a time, but never given it. On my knees in front of him, I appreciated the comforting weight of his guidance. Unable to fit more than half his length in my mouth, I wrapped my hand around the base and moved it up and down in time with my mouth. The cacophony of grunts and groans coming from Patrick made my dick ache. I wrapped my spare hand around my own cock and moved it in time with my ministrations on his erection.
I glanced up and noticed him staring at me, lust written all over his face, and I almost came on the spot. I’d always hoped someone would look at me in such a lascivious manner, and for at least a year, I’d been hoping it would be Patrick. However, to see the expression on his face directed at me made my heart beat a million miles an hour. I moaned around his cock, knowing it always got me close to coming. All of a sudden, his cum shot down the back of my throat as he let out a feral sounding growl. The combination of hearing him come and knowing I brought him that pleasure sent me over the edge, my release spilling all over my hand and the floor.
Collapsing in a spent heap on the floor, we remained there for quite a while, the reality of what we’d done sinking in.
The military did not accept gays. I’d known when I enrolled at West Point, the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy meant I’d have to hide a side of myself. Raised in an army family, I understood I could never fully be myself by joining. I’d thought I could do it, no problem. Meeting Patrick, I realized hiding my sexual orientation wasn’t going to be as easy as I’d thought.
Once we both got our breath back, we crawled into Patrick’s bed and curled up together, dinner lying forgotten on the floor. We had many firsts that night. For the most part, however, we talked about what happened and what we wanted to happen.
It shocked both of us to find out we’d been harboring feelings for one another for at least a year. We’d also each chosen careers in the military even though we were both well aware we were gay.
Patrick’s hand waving in front of my face brought me out of my memories.
“Where did you go, babe?”
“Sorry, darlin’, I was just remembering the first time I gave you a blow job.”
A smile reappeared on his face. “Mmmm, I remember that well.”
“Me too. How about a do-over?” I asked with a cheeky grin.
“Sounds like a plan.”

Spotlight: Vegas Knights by Marina Maddix

DESCRIPTION: After a passionate public encounter with a mysterious and very sexy biker, big girl Kelly Saunders finds herself on the ride of her life. Her 'Knight on shining armor' -- Rick Knight, billionaire heir to a motorcycle legacy -- whisks her away from her soul-sucking corporate job to Las Vegas, where she finds the road to love is treacherous. As urgent business matters demand more and more of Rick's attention, Kelly is left to wonder about the future of their relationship. A ruthless betrayal throws her life into turmoil, and a devastating discovery threatens to pull them apart. Is their love just so much Vegas glitter or is it strong enough to survive beyond the dazzling lights of Sin City?

EXCERPT: They sat entwined under the stars, swaying slightly with the rhythm of their own bodies. Rick's hands moved slowly from her hair down her back. Shivers of anticipation rippled through Kelly. They were going to make love under the stars. It had always been a fantasy of hers but she'd never imagined it would come true. But a lot of things she'd never imagined were happening lately. Feeling the need to show him she wasn't some precious flower that needed tending and special care, that she was an independent woman, Kelly took control. His eyes never left her body as she moved to stand over him, legs spread, hands on her hips. "Strip." The single word brought a knowing smirk to Rick's face. Without a word, and still never taking his eyes from her, he eased his off his jacket, throwing it aside. His gaze was positively smoldering as he loosened his tie and started to pull it over his head. "Leave it." Kelly commanded on impulse. His hands paused, then dropped to the front of his charcoal Armani button-down, his eyes burning into her flesh like a brand. His fingers worked slowly, deliberately, intensifying her need for him. But she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing her impatience. Cocking her hip, she let him tease her with his leisurely pace. When the shirt was lying atop the leather jacket, he looked up expectantly, awaiting her next instruction. When she nodded toward his pants, triumph flashed across his face. She realized her mistake as he moved to stand. Once on his feet, he would tower over her, emphasizing her vulnerability and his dominance. "On second thought, scratch that." One of his eyebrows shot up, and a look of exasperation took the place of triumph. She knew the score and she wasn't going to give him an advantage if she could help it. He leaned back on his elbows -- shirtless and irresistible -- and studied her. She couldn't afford to make a misstep or show any hesitation. This had become less of a game for her and more of a demand for equality in this relationship. He may be rich, but that didn't mean he was in control here. Either he accepted that they were in this together, as equal partners, or he would be taught that lesson. Of course, she suspected that would be a lesson he might enjoy learning.

Years after Luke’s sweetheart was ripped from his arms on prom night, Meri’s loss still haunts him. Searching for her everywhere, he finds her only in his dreams and on the pages of a dark comic book he created in her image. But on the anniversary of her disappearance, she shows up on his doorstep without having aged a day. What can he do but invite her in?
Meri’s nights are all about surviving alone on the dark, seedy side of life. Once a year she treats herself to a night of tasty passion with her one true love. Is this the year to seal the deal and make their love eternal, or will she walk away to become just another fantasy?

Excerpt:
A chill ran the length of his spine in spite of the warm air swirling around him. The dark, grainy picture looked overexposed where other areas seemed underexposed. But the resemblance to Meri appeared unmistakable. Her translucent skin against the dark background leapt off the screen. Her eerie red eyes, caused by a flash photo at night, haunted him, preying on what little hope remained after year upon year of heartache and disappointment. Touching the screen, he traced her features with his index finger.
Gooseflesh rose on his arms seconds before the doorbell sounded. The buzz jolted him to his senses. Anyone who knew him—really knew him—would leave him alone tonight.
Crossing the room, he opened the door, preparing to give someone a piece of his mind. Freezing instead, his extremities tingled but everything else numbed. Including his brain. Especially his mouth.
“Invite me in before you faint.”
“Meri?” Her whispered name on his lips barely registered due to his pounding heart.
“Luke.” Her tone mocked him. She peeked around the door and held out a bouquet of blood red roses like the ones he’d given her for Valentine’s Day way back in the day. “I guess we know who we both are.” Her eyebrows arched up. “Invite. Me. In.”
“I….” Teetering on wobbly legs, he staggered backward a few steps. Spots danced in his peripheral vision and a flash of heat swept through his trembling body.
“Don’t you dare pass out, Luke.” Her blurry finger waved as blackness closed in. “Invite me in, damn it! Can I come in, please?”
“Yes.”
“That’ll have to do.”
