EXCERPT:
Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share an excerpt from my upcoming Bound to Submit, the first official book in my brand new and super hot Blasphemy series! I’m excited about this one for so many reasons—because writing this series is such a guilty, fun pleasure, because the heroine in this book is a kick-ass veteran amputee, and because I love writing the brotherhood between the Doms at this club. I hope you enjoy Blasphemy, too! So here’s a little taste of the battle of wills coming in Bound to Submit – enjoy!
After five years,
Kenna Sloane stood in front of him. Only, something was different about her now.
Restrained, even. Griffin studied her for a long moment. She held her position
beautifully, as she always had, with her posture perfect and her feet spread and
her arms folded behind her back. The blond hair was different. In the year
they’d played together, he’d rarely seen it her natural color, and he grew to
enjoy the surprise of how she’d change for him, liking a butterfly ever
transforming anew.
But that wasn’t
what was tripping his internal alarms. He focused on her face. There. The
cool distance in her eyes. The careful neutral of the expression. This was a
woman who’d fearlessly and sometimes brazenly worn her emotions on her sleeves.
A woman whose feelings he’d seen in her revealing eyes long before she’d voiced
them all those years ago. But now, only her mouth dropping open revealed some
little chink in her carefully crafted armor.
She was still
stunningly beautiful, though. Breathtaking.
“It’s good to see
you after all this time, Kenna,” he finally said in what amounted to a
monumental understatement.
“Master Griffin,”
she said, her voice as cool as her expression. When had Kenna ever been so
reserved with him? Since you rejected her?
The truth of that
launched a sinking feeling in his gut that he kept from being reflected on his
face. “Have you moved back to Baltimore or is this just a
visit?”
She frowned and
her eyes searched his, like the question had surprised her. “Oh, uh, yes. I
moved back.”
“I see,” he said,
letting his gaze wander. Down the slender column of her throat. Lingering on the
beautiful plunging neckline of her bodysuit. Over her long, toned legs. His
hands itched for some rope. His mind raced with the patterns he wanted to make
on her naked skin. His ears strained to hear the throaty, gasping moans she’d
release as he bound her tight and sure and irrevocably to him. The desires made
him hard for her. “Then welcome home.”
“Thank you, Sir,”
she said quietly.
He wanted to grab
her by the arms, shake her, embrace her. Something to elicit some of the old
passion. But he’d lost the right to expect that from her, hadn’t
he?
So what did she
want?
“So, did you
want—”
“Master Griffin,
can we—”
They both chuckled
at speaking at the same time, but the awkwardness was evident in the sound of
his laugh and the expression on her face. He hated it, how out of sync they were
after once being so well matched that Griffin kicked himself every day for
letting her go. He knew how rare that was, and he hated himself for not seeing
it then. Not cherishing it, as he should’ve.
“Kenna, are you
here to talk or play tonight?”
“Both, Sir,” she
whispered.
He tilted his
head. “And, were you hoping to do those things with me?” He couldn’t assume, not
after everything. But his body was like a rope pulled taut in anticipation of
her answer.
She licked her
lips, and Griffin felt it everywhere, because the simple action revealed that
she wasn’t as unaffected as she was putting on. “Yes, Sir. If you’re available.
And, uh—” Her shoulder moved in a tiny nervous shrug.
“—interested.”
Relief and heat
flooded through his veins. Kenna Sloane was here for him, after all this time.
He leaned in and put his face next to hers, his mouth near her ear. “Oh, little
Kenna, I’m fucking interested, all right.”
The goosebumps
that sprung up on her face where their skin touched felt like victory. She
wasn’t unaffected at all. But he’d let her have this reserve. For
now.
He pulled back and
nailed her with a stare. “Now, let’s go have that talk.”

Scavenger’s Mission
By
Liza O’Connor
How to get along in the SkyRyders. Be male and don’t fly
better than your captain. Have your family send their best sweets in your
monthly care package so you can give them to your captain. Accept your position
as Dog for the first year of training.
If you are female, expect to be abused, tormented, and
diminished, because as far as the captain is concerned, females are only good
for one thing. And if you refuse to play, prepare to die.
So what’s going to happen to Alisha when she flies with
skills far beyond her captain’s and knows him to be the one who murdered her
friend?
Read the excerpt below
Scavenger’s Mission
By Liza O’Connor
Blurb
Meet Alisha: A young woman who refuses to live the life her
parents want.
In a single month,
Alisha Kane has gone from a wealthy debutante to street girl to scavenger. While testing her new flying skills in the
Cully Canyon, Alisha incurs a near-death crash
landing. She’s “rescued” by a colonel of the SkyRyders and her life changes
forever.
Meet Logan: A SkyRyder colonel in charge of a sleepy fort
with little to do other than arrest the occasional scavenger.
For the first time in
his life, Logan’s attracted to a young woman, only she’s probably a scavenger
and he’ll have to arrest her. But first
he offers her a shower and food while he checks on his crew. His videographer
has captured her extraordinary flight through the Cully and her flying is
astounding!
He forgoes arresting
her and puts his career at risk by asking MAC to assess her skills and
integrity as a potential SkyRyder. If he can get Alisha into the SkyRyders, it
will be his greatest contribution to the Corps.
Meet MAC: The Artifical Intelligence that runs the SkyRyders
Corps.
Upon seeing her
arrival, MAC upgrades Alisha’s test. Her flying skills are not just excellent;
they exceed what was previously thought possible. MAC classifies her as its top
asset and soon she proves her value.
But…the SkyRyders remain
a male dominated Corps where Alisha’s sense of right and wrong often clashes
with her superiors. How long can a rebellious young woman survive in a
regimented Corps?
Excerpt
After her third stall-out and dunking on the ridge, Alisha
attempted to out-climb him, but Washington and Ollie were behind her, diverting
a major portion of her wind. All she did was increase the distance of her fall
when she stalled. Thank God the suit she wore was three sizes too large, for it
helped her to slow the descent and direct her fall into an overhanging tree so
the wind-catcher caught in its limbs, preventing her from smashing down onto
pointy granite rocks at high speed.
When the tree limbs broke from the force of impact, she
still fell and hurt her knee in the tumble, but at least she lived.
She had hoped DC would be satisfied with the results of the
day. She’d been thoroughly beaten, humiliated, and humbled. While severe, her
injury would not cause him censure. His punishment had been perfectly planned
and executed.
To her shock, he commanded her to get up and take another
run. Alisha realized something had broken in his twisted mind. It wasn’t his
intent to punish her. He planned to kill her.
Thus, Alisha saw no alternative but to fly into the wind farm.
Using a standard catcher, death was a probability, but if she didn’t escape DC
and his obedient squad, she now realized death was a certainty. If his intent
had been anything but murder, he would have stopped after the last crash.
How she managed to turn and steer her clumsy catcher into
the farm, she didn’t know. Feigning left, she pulled the catcher hard right,
aiming between two rows of invisible blades. The greatest danger was that the
wind would blow her catcher into a blade. There would be no recovery. Within
seconds of first contact, the blades
would reel her in and chop her body into a thousand pieces.
Without question she’d be safer if she just collapsed her
catcher and hit the ground, but if she landed too close to the border of the
farm, DC could hunt her down on foot. With her leg busted up, she’d be the
slowest rabbit he’d ever bagged.
Alisha held the catcher steady against the west wind until
she estimated she was a mile into the farm. She released her harness at the
exact same time she collapsed her catcher. She hoped it would fall safely to
the ground and not wrap up in a wind generator, but if it did, she sure as hell
didn’t want to follow it up.
She hit the ground favoring her strong leg, but it didn’t
matter. The pain was so intense that she rolled into a ball, trying desperately
not to black out.
“Get up,” she warned herself. “Hide the catcher and get away
from here.”
Somehow Alisha forced herself to move farther into the farm.
She didn’t worry about leaving prints in the sand. The wind blew so hard any
footprints disappeared in seconds.
After walking over half a mile east into the farm, she
noticed blood dripping from her knee. She unzipped her suit and pulled off her
shirt, wrapping it tightly around the open wound. The pressure hurt like hell,
but she had to stop the bleeding. While the sand covered the drops of blood in
seconds, the tracking gear DC had could still follow it.
Realizing they had to be close behind, she altered her
direction and headed south.
A sense of danger made her turn around. When she did, she
saw the laser bead on her shoulder. She weaved through the windmill posts,
hoping the metal would confuse the bullet as it attempted to follow the path to
its target. When she heard the bullet ricochet on metal, she stopped for a
moment and re-assessed the situation.

the family ties that bind them. Fans of Jackie Ashenden’s
Make You and Kresley Cole’s The Master, will devour the super steamy and fast
paced third book, An Indecent Proposal in the wildly popular O’ Malley series
by NYT and USA Today Bestselling Author Katee Robert.
Author: Katee Robert

Publisher:
Grand Central Publishing- Forever
Synopsis:
Greed.
Ambition. Violence. Those are the "values" Olivia Rashidi learned
from her Russian mob family-and the values she must leave behind for the sake
of her daughter. When she meets Cillian O'Malley, she recognizes the red flag
of his family name . . . yet she still can't stop herself from seeing the
smoldering, tortured man. To save her family, Olivia sets out to discover
Cillian's own secrets, but the real revelation is how fast-and how hard-she's
falling for him.
Plagued
by a violent past, Cillian is more vulnerable than anyone realizes. Anyone
except Olivia, whose beauty, compassion, and pride have him at
"hello," even if she's more inclined to say good-bye to an O'Malley.
While his proposal of sex with no strings seems simple, what he feels for her
isn't, especially after he learns that she belongs to a rival crime family.
Cillian knows that there is no escape from the life, but Olivia may be worth
trying-and dying-for . . .
Review:
So what to say about this book. Well it is the third in the O'Malley Series and sometimes with series as you go on the books lose a bit of their shine, that is so not the case with this book. This book was fabulous, fast paced and extremely hard to but down.
Cillian and Olivia's chemistry was off the charts and I loved that Olivia made him work for it.
All the little side stories made this a wonderful read. Being able to catch up on characters from prior books and getting a sneak peek at who's going to couple up with who in the next books. Demitri was doing his best to ruin the happy couple but it wouldn't be a Katee Robert book if she didn't let the bad out to play once in awhile.
I loved the setup in this book for the books to come and i seriously am dying to get my hands on Jude.
Overall this was a fantastic read 5 out of 5

Can two men get over the preconceived notion of who each other is to find the love they have been desperately looking for?
She was on her way to the bathroom to pee again for the umpteenth time when a knock sounded on the door. Still a few minutes, but he could be early. She walked to the door and checked the peephole. A broad, muscled torso wearing a light-blue button-down and navy coat was all she could see.
Holy crap!
She checked her appearance one last time in the mirror on the door then pulled it open. Tall at five foot nine inches, but even she had to tilt her head back to see the face of the man standing in front of her. If someone asked her to describe her dream man, they would have gotten a picture of this guy. His wide brown eyes were so dark they were almost black, and his square jaw bore the perfect light dusting of hair. He stood a good head and shoulders taller than her, so he had to be at least six and a half feet tall. And oh, the muscles. He may still be clothed, but not an ounce of fat marred his trim figure.
“Hi,” she said after ogling her fill.
“Hi,” he replied. Only a single syllable but the deep baritone of his voice was like a caress of her most intimate places. If she’d worn panties, they’d be ruined. “Are you Madeline Majors?”
“Yes. I take it you’re Garth Summers.” He nodded. She held out her hand. “Nice to meet you.” Instead of shaking her hand, he grasped and turned it palm up then brought his lips down in the gentlest of pecks. If she didn’t know any better, she would have thought he’d sucked on her cl*t the way desire ricocheted from the tips of her fingers all the way down to her toes.
“Very nice to meet you, too.” He straightened. “May I come in?”
Maddy almost slapped herself in the forehead for being such a dunce. “Of course. Please.” She stepped back to make way for him to enter.
Garth walked past her, his arm brushing her chest. Her nipples hardened to tight peaks, eager for him to repeat the touch. Whether the contact had been on purpose or not, she was in for one hell of a night if their interactions so far offered any indication.
Thank you, Madame Eve.

Entangled Summer Carnival Photo Booth! @entangledpub
Step right up to the Entangled Summer Carnival Photo Booth! Who doesn’t wish they could step back in time and dress up in some of those fantastic fashions? Our Scandalous and Select Historical authors are talking about which historical figures they would dress up as for our historical photo booth. Let us know who you would want to dress up as and snap a photo of yourself for your photo album.
I have a passion for collecting stories of eccentric women throughout history who dared to step outside the dictates of society. If I were to dress like any of these women, I would choose the most willful one of the bunch. Daughter of an earl, Lady Hester Stanhope (12 March 1776—23 June 1839) was niece to William Pitt the Younger. She acted as his secretary while he was prime minister of England. The government knew that Lady Hester Stanhope was the brains behind Pitt, so upon his death, she was awarded a lifetime pension, which she promptly used to pursue an outrageous life in the Middle East. Off she went by sea, only to have her ship crash on the rocks in Rhodes. She lost everything but the clothes on her back, and had to borrow from the Turks. That's when she discarded tight corsets and heavy layers of fabric and took on their manner of dress—the men’s dress, that is. Thereafter, Lady Hester never wore anything but robes, turbans, and slippers while she tramped about in the desert, slept in the tents of Bedouin sheikhs, traipsed through Turkish palaces, and learned to smoke a water pipe. Oh, and for a while, she took a British lover twelve years her junior. I simply had to weave unconventional Lady Hester Stanhope into my series Those Magnificent Malverns, so I created an eccentric grandmother who’d been Lady Hester’s accomplice on those scandalous desert journeys.
If I could dress up as a historical figure, I’d pick Lady Jersey of the Regency period. She’s perfect for me because I write Regency period historical romances. Lady Jersey was one of the patronesses of Almack’s, the exclusive club where young ladies hoped to find a desirable marriage match. Gaining a voucher to Almack’s was like a Quest for the Holy Grail. Only the patronesses—a select group of ladies—decided who could cross the club’s threshold. For a night at Almack’s, I’d love to dress as Lady Jersey in an exquisite ball gown. My dream gown would be cerulean blue crepe with short sleeves over a slip of white satin. The bodice would be cut low and adorned with silver beading, and the hem would be delicately embroidered with silver flowers. My hair would be in the Grecian style with soft curls around my face and the back pulled into a chignon and decorated with a simple wreath of white flowers. A diamond necklace, diamond drop earrings, two diamond bracelets, long white gloves, and white satin slippers would complete the outfit. Who wouldn’t feel beautiful wearing this for a night out?
I would dress as Anne Bonny, a pirate in the 1700s. She disguised herself as a man and sailed the seas with her lover, Jack Rackham. Anne was a strong woman who fought alongside her brethren as an equal. She was tough and demanded respect—although she dressed as a man, many knew she was a woman. You could almost say she was a pioneer in feminism before the word actually existed. What a woman!
If I could dress up as any famous historical figure it would have to be Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. I’ve always found this woman fascinating, and strong of character, and the fact she’s related to Diana, Princess of Wales is just another boon against her name. For a woman who married at just 17, she became one of the most famous, and at time scandalous figures of the Georgian period. She partook in political speeches, was a leading fashion icon (which many tried to emulate) and gambled away what we would consider small fortunes. She fell in love with a future prime minster of England and had love affairs. Who’d not want to dress up as the Duchess of Devonshire, if only for a day.
Though Catherine the Great is often remembered for her scandalous personal life, her accomplishments as the Empress of Russia were remarkable, which is why I choose to dress up as her. Well, that and the amazing gowns and jewels she owned. Catherine wasn’t a native of Russian, but just six months after marrying the Emperor, with the help of her loyal guard, she was able to oust her husband and become the empress. During her rule, she triumphed over several uprisings, greatly expanded Russia’s territory, and was an enlightened ruler who wrote several books, was a champion of the arts, and was responsible for amassing much of the treasures that are housed in the Hermitage Museum. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the rumors about her engaging in inappropriate activities with a horse are not true.
